Notes by Agis, The White Wolf
The Voice of the Wolf:
An old legend tells of a time when humans were just upstarts and began making primitive attempts at community building.
The wolves were then the rulers over the wide land. They lived in harmony with nature and only fought to get food or to organize their pack.
But slowly, little by little, the human race evolved, and the wolves were pushed further and further back by the brutal attacks.
They were portrayed by humans as vicious creatures that would wipe out entire villages. Of course the wolves attacked humans, but only when they were weak and the wolves had little food.
The people themselves destroyed countless wolves, with a short-sightedness and stupidity that has always been characteristic of this race.
And the larger mankind became, and the further the wolves were pushed into the deep forests and mountains, the more unstable the spirit of the people became. The values that people had benefited from in the beginning, courage, strength and willpower, disappeared...
The principles of our faith
In addition to the fighting and social skills of the wolf, the spirit of the wolf must also pass into the spirit of man. The 3 most important abilities of the wolf are courage, strength and willpower, the first and third of which can only be attained through the mind.
Before this can happen, however, one must adapt to the life of the wolf.
The wolf lives with nature, not against it.
A wolf will never willfully destroy anything.
A wolf is always alert.
A wolf fights and lives in a group.
A part of the human being is not in the wolf, but vice versa. A person who kills wolves also kills the wolf part in himself, which stands for courage, strength and willpower.
A person who worships the wolf will develop further in these points.
A wolf killed in battle is considered honorable.
It is considered honorable for a member of the Order of the Wolf to die in combat against a wolf, although the wolf must always face the attacker, thereby proving its superiority.
A fighter who joins the Wolves in battle (not against members of the Order, of course) and is killed has also died honorably.
If a member of the Order of The Wolf is killed in a "normal" combat, it is not considered weak or dishonourable.
