It was a cold early summer's day in a country high in the north of the continent when I, Eicke von Manen der I (Eickman for short), made my daily inspection round through the royal apartments. I was the bodyguard of King Anturias II at the time. A breeze of evil swirled through the air, my spirit told me something bad was going to happen, but I didn't take the warning seriously and went on with my work. Unfortunately, this turned out to be my undoing ...

Midday slipped away and the sun hid behind thick clouds. It looked like a normal day in the country. But there, a messenger rushed through the castle gate in no time at all. He demanded the king, his fear gave him credibility, and it increased my fears. I let him go to the king, there he left his message: " Reverend, I would never have thought that it could happen, but in the sacred valley of silence, where evil has rested for eternity, the magical barrier of good was broken."That barrier was pronounced generations ago by a curse of what is arguably the most powerful magic in our world. But it disappeared, and legends tell that he escaped to another world, where time is different, a world on another continuum, in our imagination inconceivable, a world in which 100 years go by without even a second of the local life going by. This legendary world was called "Tibia".

Evil was able to eradicate all life here, but the magic that could have helped us was forgotten over the millennia, so I felt it was my duty to do everything possible to save the king. I rushed into the royal library, feeling that I should look here. And when I saw all the old shelves with all the books, it shot up in me like lightning ...: I remembered my childhood, my grandfather was the librarian at the time, I often played here because I mean the presence Grandfather enjoyed it very much. At that moment a figure appeared to me in the empty and lonely corner of the library where I was. She was surrounded by a bright light, and I recognized a very old man with a long beard and eyes from which the mana shone ... he looked me straight in the eyes, as if he wanted to tell me something, but I was scared and blocked it off. But the urge to look him in the eye grew and finally it overcame me. I looked deep into his eyes and suddenly he was gone, I couldn't remember how long I was in a trance or what he brought me. Again I only thought of saving the empire and looked down at the book. Suddenly I was able to decipher the book and got information about a distant country, the descriptions were so precise, it could only be "Tibia".

He found that this would be the last chance to save the kingdom and all of our lives by tracking down the old wizard and bringing him back, so I decided to cast the spell. A blue, door-sized structure emerged in front of me. After some hesitation, I overcame my fear and went inside. It was like going through a door and I appeared in a temple with a monk dressed in a purple robe. This monk called himself Quentin and he welcomed me to a land called "Tibia"!
