The day was just breaking as I entered the town of Thais. My old friend Cecil had just arrived himself. He asked me to lead him to Carlin, city of the Amazones. I told him that I, too, was heading there, and would be glad to have some company. We set out to a large mountain, one that blocks any passage to the outer lands of the isle of Tibia. When we began to climb it, we were suddenly attacked by a family of cyclops'! They began racing at blinding speeds towards us, trying to tear us limb from limb. Luckily, my sword and shield were blessed by the Gods of Mystia, so they were soon dispatched.
We continued onward, deep into the mountain, when a nest of poison spiders felt our presence, but Cecil was quicker than they, his sword flashed with barbed lightning as he slew one spider afte another leaving none left, not even the ones who tried to flee. We raced onward. Soon another family of cyclops' got wind of us, and they seemed to be very angry, they must have been relatives of the other family that was slain. The flames of my sword danced as I spilt the innards of one cyclops onto the gravelly path. Cecil's sword also flew, yet the cyclops he was fighting seemed to be heavily armored, quickly i jumped in to help him, but the cyclops fled deep into a cavern. We decided not to follow him. Cecil was wounded after the battle, so we rested for a moment, though the heat of the lava inside the mountain was nearly unbearable.
After a couple hours of resting, Cecil was ready to move on, and i was glad for it, for my armor had begun to heat up and burn my skin. We continued onward, as we neared the end of the mountain, the sun began to set. We walked a little longer, two or three miles, then set camp near a river. We saw fires burning not too far away, but we were both exhausted, we fell right to sleep. In the middle of the night, we were awoken by a pack of ravenous wolves; they were trying to take food from our packs! I jumped up and yelled, hoping to scare them off. But they were not scared, they began to charge at me, fangs bared. I drew forth my sword, which became a beacon in the night, flames of wrath leapt from the sword, striking down one wolf after another, until they were all gone. Another noise was then heard. "KRAAAAAAAAK ORC!" was heard close by, a dark stranger began running towards us, i cried out when i saw it was an orc dressed in red, wielding a halberd. Another crept up behind it wielding a sword of some sort, i couldn't really see - it was dark. The red orc began slashing his halberd at me, doing much damage, and his friend also stabbed me with his sword, i turned to flee, but remembered Cecil, so i had to fight until either they fell, or i fell.
It seemed that I was stronger. Two dead orcs lay at my feet, and Cecil slept through it all. I fumbled in the dark to find my pack, searching for my healing runes. Blood oozed from my wounds as i futilely tried to search the pack for my runes, where could they be?! Finally, my hand touched a bag, i could feel small stones in it. I grabbed one out, and held it to my wounds, praying for the pain to be taken away. I lost consciousness. When i awoke, it was nearly noon, Cecil still slept, and my wounds were gone! I thanked the Gods and hoisted upon my back the pack that saved my life. I woke Cecil and we began to move again. Soon we came to a bridge, and even before they were in view, we could hear the calls of the demented orcs, the orcs that have gone berserk with rage.
An orc dressed in yellow was the first to be seen, he had a sabre in hand, trying to stab me. He must have been a drunken orc, for he missed several times, but he soon fell anyway. The red orc (one that i like to call crazy orc) slashed into Cecil, almost tearing him in half! He fell onto the wooden planks of the bridge, bleeding badly and telling me to run. But i would not, white-hot fire blazed from my sword as i tore into the orc, still attacking poor Cecil. "Run!" i shouted to him, but he couldn't even walk, let alone run. The orc turned his attention towards me, slashing me with his halberd. In the end, i too was nearly dead. The runes helped a second time, the Gods have spared us a second time.
After resting for a bit, and catching some fish, we took almost everything that the orcs had, including a strange looking axe. Strange because it is a two handed axe, but it looks like a gardening tool, maybe something that is used to hit rocks out of the way. We then began to journey onward. And though many miles are still to go before we reach the town of Carlin, we laugh, and are happy, just knowing we survived the battle when we knew that many have fallen to such crazy orcs.
Onward we marched, many long miles. The town of Carlin becoming closer with each step we took, the sun began to set, and yet again we made camp. "Tomorrow we shall arrive in Carlin, but right now i can take no step further." I said to Cecil, who was already beginning to doze off. I smiled, and then layed down, drifting off to sleep while thinking of the journeys that are yet to come.
