The day the Dragon Lord came to Thais ...

(by Marco Polo)

Although I rarely go into the constraints of a city as a hiker, I had agreed to take on the post of city gatekeeper in Thais for a few days.

Here you can see me as I have just entered my tower. The first rush of highway robbers in the morning is over and so I can calmly enjoy the almost regal view.

I was just wondering whether I should take a little nap when, through my limited magical abilities, I heard the voice of a friend in my head:

"HE IS SOON COMING"

This long acquaintance recently asked me for some ropes because he was one Wanted to build a pulley block. So I stood on my tiptoe to see as far as possible into the country.

While I was still exerting myself, I received a visit from Crom, a city juggler who is known for always having his finger on the pulse. He cheered me up with a few little jokes, but I didn't let the surrounding area out of my sight.

So I was terrified when suddenly I heard an unnatural voice booming: YOU WILL BURN!

Only now did I notice that the farmers in front of the city fled their fields in order to go to the safety of the city.

It slowly dawned on me where this terrible, inhuman reputation could have come from. On one of my expeditions I met Morridin, Phoenix and CULTION you persuaded me to visit a dragon cave.

It was there that I saw him for the first time: a DRAGON LORD D. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch him for long, because his aggressive nature took my breath away so much that only Quentin was able to cure my symptoms of paralysis.

And then I saw him ... slowly, majestically, he crossed the drawbridge .... "WHAT was the drawbridge up there?" Crom and I rushed to the bridge master and made a cruel discovery. The fiery breath of the Dragon Lord had completely scorched the old man, hit Mordhet, that was the name of that bridge master when the sight of the Dragon Lord was completely unexpected.

So it happened: The Dragon Lord was in Thais!

As soon as the Dragon Lord passed the city gate, we heard the screams from the streets.

Still, I resisted the urge to follow this lord and kill him with my arrows.

Rather, I turned my attention to the immediate vicinity of the city gate and tried to help the many wounded people.

But one by one succumbed to his serious injuries ... :-(

After I realized that my healing skills would no longer be sufficient here, I went to the depot to get my medical equipment and to equip myself with a bow and arrow so that I might defeat the Dragon Lord after all.

In the depot I found a multitude of heroes, undecided whether they should attack the Dragon Lord or not and if so with which weapons.

Some of them were partially paralyzed by yesterday's celebration at Frodo's. Yet they didn’t skimp on expletives when it was time to scold the dragon.

The onset of twilight and the roar of the Dragon Lord didn't exactly help to lift the mood.

I met Feanor, a friendly archer, and we discussed what to do.

However, since there were also some famous and very experienced warriors in Thais, we decided to wait for the night first.

Slowly the fear of the Dragon Lord subsided and some cheeky and drunk heroes from afar shouted jokes around.

While Feanor and I were standing in a quiet corner with Benjamin, we heard the screams of the injured outside as the Dragon Lord approached.

But here, in the depot, we felt safe, as the gods had forbidden any form of violence in this area for all eternity.

Finally the first numbers of wounded came to us and we could hardly believe our eyes that even experienced warriors had been hit.

Suddenly we heard the thunderous voice of the most experienced but not exactly popular hero Tibias echoing through Thais. "For 10 large healing runes I will kill the dragon", one heard ARIESWAR proclaim everywhere. It is a pity that such a hero is still dependent on the handouts of other players.

Even in this situation, Feanor and I didn't lose our sense of humor.

Finally it was done. The great Arieswar had won. Unfortunately, I couldn't celebrate his victory because when I stepped onto the battlefield I saw many old friends among the dead.

At least the equipment of the two oldest and most famous heroes "Lightbringer" and "Reylord" were able to be retrieved by Feanor and I.

In the excitement, I unfortunately forgot to take pictures of these pieces of Tibetan craftsmanship.

In any case, Feanor and I wanted to go out the evening with a glass of red wine, but we failed to do so because of the almost two-day fight and the resulting exhaustion.

So my time as a city watch in Thais ended.
